Wilbert Law (PhD) is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology at the Education University of Hong Kong. He obtained his PhD degree on Social and Personality Psychology at the University of Rochester, New York, USA. In 2010, he received the Helen & Vincent Nowlis Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring at the University of Rochester, New York, USA.
His research interests are broadly on human motivation and well-being. Currently, he is working on 1) achievement goal structure and processes, 2) the promotion of compassion, mindfulness, and empathy, and 3) how the adoption of different values and goals can affect the satisfaction of psychological needs, interpersonal relationships, and quality of life.
